Dr. Putman completed his pediatric residency and pediatric cardiology fellowship at the esteemed NYU Langone Medical Center / Bellevue Hospital. In 2022, Dr. Putman and his staff joined Robert Wood Johnson Barnabas Health, becoming Pediatric Cardiology of Livingston, a high volume practice where he leads a friendly, efficient and diverse team. Dr. Putman is recognized for delivering exemplary care with an upbeat engaging approach. He and his practice offer consultations for fetal echocardiography, congenital heart disease and suspected acquired heart disease in infants, children, adolescents and young adults. His compassionate approach and deep understanding of pediatric cardiac care have made him a trusted figure in his field.
Dr. Putman is the Division Chief, Department of Pediatric Cardiology at Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, New Jersey where he has led the department with innovation and excellence for nearly two decades. Dr. Putman has also been the Director of Cardiac Screening for the Matthew J. Morahan lll Health Assessment Center for Athletes since 2010, playing a pivotal role in promoting early detection and prevention of cardiac issues in young athletes.
Dr. Putman has been named as New Jersey Family’s Favorite Kids’ Doc annually for fifteen years, since the award’s inception. He has also been awarded Jersey Choice Top Doctor in New Jersey Monthly magazine for fifteen of the last sixteen years.
In addition to his clinical roles, Dr. Putman is a dedicated educator. Through his teaching, he imparts his knowledge and passion to the next generation of medical professionals, ensuring the continued advancement of pediatric cardiology.
